Chapter 4 // Blast From The Past

*October 1st, WWE Headquarters, Kat's P.O.V*

"Why the fuck am I here..." I mumbled to myself, as I walked into a building I was once very much familiar with 20 years ago.

I honestly have no idea why I'm here. They called me and asked me to come, and the NHL regular season doesn't start until next week, so I won't be missing a game or anything. Plus, Justin's home for the week, So it's not like Bianca and Eli are alone- that's a gigantic no-no ever since the incident of '30, when me and Justin trusted the two to stay home together so we could take a vacation, that ended up being cut short when we got a call from the Chicago PD. Lovely.

Point is- I don't know why I'm here, but I swear, If this isn't Important, I think I may have to let Kasey Angel come back one more time and kick somebody's ass.

"Kat Lloyd, I got a call a couple weeks and I'm supposed to see...some person, about...uh, something," I told the receptionist lady. She looked up at me real quick, then back at her notes.

"Top floor, you'll be meeting with Hunter," She smiled warmly.

"Hunter as in, Hunter Helmsley? Paul Levesque? Triple H?" I asked her, she just nodded. "Fucking hell...." I grunted out loud.

It's been over 20 years, so In case you forgot, let me refresh your memory- Hunter Helmsley was Chairmen when I was in WWE- and apparently still is- and he absolutely fucking hated me. From the moment I was picked out of the crowd and pulled into the business, he's hated me- we even had a Wrestlemania match because it got that bad. Bottom line; he's not my favorite person, and I'm not his.

This should end up well.

I got into the elevator, trying to ignore the crappy elevator music playing, but it was just so bad, it was hard to think about anything else but that.

"They could at least play theme music..." I grumbled, fidgeting around with the bracelets I had on.

A moment after I said that, the elevator stopped, revealing the top floor- aka Hunter's office. Yes, I mean Hunter's entire office- there's no hallways, or other smaller offices, the entire top floor is his entire office. When I walked in, I saw he was too busy with paperwork to realize my presence, so I took it upon myself to make him realize it.

"I don't know If I can see a better reflection of myself from the mirror, or your shiny, bald head."

My voice rang through the office, and he dropped the paper that was once firmly in his hand, then froze. I smirked at this. Hunter then swallowed a lump down his throat, before slowly lifting his head up and looking at me- that same, sorry, angry, disgusted look he made at me whenever he saw me back when I actually worked for him. He sighed, before putting on a cheesy smile.

"Miss Angel- or Kat," He began.

"Just call me Mrs. Lloyd," I firmly told him, trying to hold back a smile. It's been 20 years, but I still love getting to tell people to call me Mrs. Lloyd.

"Take a seat," He growled at me, already seeming annoyed. Yep, not much has changed.

I walked over and took a seat on this nice comfy chair that was facing the opposite side of Hunter, and had a stare down with him for a moment, before breaking the silence, "Why the fuck did I fly out from Chicago to this shithole," I bluntly asked. He let out a deep, long sigh, then sat back in his chair and closed his eyes while rubbing his temples, before looking back to me.

"WWE is releasing a '52 Greatest Feuds In History' In Honor of our 52nd year as a company-"

"Wouldn't it be better If you called it the '50 Greatest Feud's In History?" I asked.

"Well, we were going to do it two years ago, but Instead, we focused on Wrestlemania as well as the '50 Greatest Pay-Per-Views In History' DVD," He explained, "But the point is, we're doing a new DVD about the top feuds in history of the company, and one of your feuds made the cut."

"Which one?" I asked.

"Your one with Kathryn Prince," He said, causing a frown to take over my face. I rolled my eyes at the mention of her.

NOW- it's been 20 years since I last stepped foot into a WWE Ring, so I wouldn't blame you if you forgot who Kathryn Prince was. So- if you need a little refresher on who Kathryn Prince is, here's a friendly reminder in the form of a Haiku:

Once There Was A Girl
And She Was Called Kathryn Prince
And She Was A Bitch

Now do you remember? Good.

"Don't even mention her name..." I grumbled.

"Too bad, Obviously her name will be mentioned like a gazillion times, since It's about you and her," Hunter said, making me roll my eyes again. "Look, point is, we want you to do an Interview about the feud you had with her, basically we'll show you match and promo clips and such, and you basically give your take on it, and overall the entire feud. And then, you can pick your favorite match you had with her so we can add it to the DVD."

"That's all?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "You couldn't have just did a home interview?"

"No, we fucking couldn't have, actually," Hunter said, matter-of-factly. "Now, because I have an extreme dislike for you and don't want to see you again, If you could just go over to the third floor, that's where we do promo's and stuff and have a rehab facilitation for injured wrestlers, they're expecting you....don't fuck this up, please."

"Nice seeing you too, boss," I smiled at him, sarcastically.

***

"Alright, Mrs. Lloyd," Some guy told me, "We have someone finishing up an interview right now, but after she's done, It'll be your turn. Just relax."

"Whatever," I said, heading to catering and grabbing a water bottle.

As i opened the water bottle, I took notice to the interview happening behind me- and as the water bottle opened, I realized who was actually doing the interview, and the water bottle completely dropped out of my hands as my eyes popped open.

"My feud with Kasey Angel was long, and apparently good, and at the time, there really was nothing in WWE that compared to it, and I think that's because unlike other guys back in the locker room, we weren't pretending to hate eachother, we did and still do hate each other, so it really wasn't hard to go out there every night and kick her ass."

Quickly, I turned around and saw Kathryn Prince sitting in a chair, telling the camera absolute bullshit.

"You went out there every night and kicked MY ass!?" I asked, butting in. "Hon, I think you're confusing the roles in the feud we had."

Kathryn's face shot over to me, and a scowl that I haven't seen in 20 years took over her face.

Oh, the nostalgia.

"What...the HELL are you doing here!?" She shouted, causing a few camera men to jump back, frightened.

"WELL, I'm here to give an interview about how throughout our feud, I was the one who kept it alive, and how I was the best of the two in the feud, since you're so keen on knowing," I explained to her, shooting a smirk her way.

"Wow, I hit you in the head a lot of times over the course of our feud, looks like It's starting to have It's effect, because clearly, I was the better one of the two in the feud," She stated.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I must have forgotten that you ended up winning the championship, the wrestlemania match, the I Quit Match- OH WAIT! All of those victories went to me...NOT you," I said.

"I don't know if you knew this, but even though you're an absolute bitch, WWE portrayed you as the face in our feud, therefore you had to end up victorious," She said, "However, clearly, I was the better one."

"PLEASE, after me, your career was NOTHING, face it, I was the one thing that kept your career alive," I told her. "I heard you finally realized that two years after I left and retired."

"But, Kasey, you didn't retire..." Kathryn began, "Your slutty ways caught up with you and you got knocked up, so you had to quit."

"Slutty ways?" I asked, "I got pregnant with my fiancee'-"
"That you left a couple months later, because you realized you were in love with another man, therefore ruining your kids life by raising him in a broken home," Kathryn said. "BUT HEY, I heard he's in the NHL now, right? Good for him, doing something with his life despite his setbacks. Hope he enjoys it while it lasts."

"While it lasts?" I asked her, getting really intrigued as to what she had to say about my Oldest son.

"Face it, He's the son of Patrick Kane- good hockey player, bad person off the ice. He's also the son of Kasey Angel- OKAY athelete, bad person in general. Simply put, Lucas may skate like a god on the ice, but eventually, he'll start acting like his parents and he'll turn into a total greedy fame hogging asshole...he probably already is an asshole, though."

I've had enough.

Immediately,  I started running over to where she was standing, and tackled her straight to the ground, and from there, I threw punches at her, while she tried pushing me off and throwing a couple punches in herself. Eventually, we were both on the ground, her on her left side, me on my right side, and we were actually trying to kill each other- hands around each others throat, kicking each other.

Security ended up being called and they broke us apart. Half of them grabbed Kathryn and took her to one side of the room, the other half grabbed me and took me to the other side.

"LET ME GO!" Kathryn shouted, as she broke free of the securities grasp. She was breathing heavy, hair all messed up as she stared at me across the room. "I NEVER Want to see you EVER AGAIN! I swear to god, If i do, I'm kicking your ass for real."

"Don't worry, as far as I'm concerned, you and I will NEVER even be within a fucking mile of each other ever again..." I shouted back at her.

"STARTING NOW," She shouted.

Then, she stormed out of the room, the sound of her shoes stomping against the ground filling the room. I broke free from securities grasp as I watched her storm out, then I rolled my eyes and fixed my hair.

I don't know how much longer I'll live for, but however long that may be, I NEVER want to see Kathryn Prince ever again. Ever.

Chapter 3 // The Waiting Game

*After the Blackhawks Game, The Brooks House*

"You know," Bianca said, cuddled up next to Logan on his bed, the two were in his room watching videos on the Internet, "I don't think your parents have ever let me stay this late ever since we started dating..."

"Yeah, well they don't know you're still here," Logan smirked, planting a kiss on her forehead.

"One of them does," A feminine voice said, startling both Logan and Bianca.

The pair's heads both shot up over to Logan's bedroom door, where they saw Logan's mom, Kristen, standing in the doorway. She had a smirk on her lips, before looking down at the ground shaking her head. She let out a quick sigh, before turning her head back up to look at her son and his girlfriend.

"Bee," She said, calling Bianca by her nickname, "The Hockey Game ended a couple minutes ago, so your mom and brother will probably be home soon, I suggest you head out now so you can beat them to it, and not get in trouble."

Bianca was shocked at the fact Kristen wasn't mad that she's been here this late, and wouldn't let her mom know, but she took it. "Of course, Mrs. Brooks."

Kristen cringed when Bianca called her that; For the first nearly 16 years of Bianca's life, she had always been "Aunt Krissie", but ever since Bianca and Logan started dating about a year ago, it's been "Mrs. Brooks", and while she was happy Bianca made her youngest son happy, It still felt rather weird, since the two families were so close, they practically had a niece/aunt relationship.

Bianca and Logan shared one last quick kiss, "I'll see you tomorrow morning, I Love You," Bianca told her boyfriend.

"I love you, too," Logan said back, watching as his girlfriend began to walk out of his room, but his mom stopped her.

"Phil thinks you left a long time ago, and he's out in the living room with Kendall, so make sure to take the staircase that leads you into the kitchen and NOT the living room, then leave from the back door in the kitchen," Kristen warned her. Bianca gave her a warm smile, thankful for her advice, before leaving. Then, Kristen returned her attention to her son, who had moved on to watching videos again. He was currently laughing at one video, but after a moment, he could feel his mother's eyes on him, so he turned to see her strong gaze.

"Can I help you?" He simply asked. She let out a sigh, while also closing her eyes in frustration, before talking.

"You're 18, Logan," She stated, "You should be off at University, or in Florida training for Wrestling with James and Logan, but instead...you're still here, in highschool, and acting like a little kid."

"All I did was let my girlfriend stay over a little later!" Logan defended, raising his voice slightly, "How is that acting like a little kid!?"

"All I'm saying is that this whole act you're doing is pissing off your dad, so If I were you, I'd get it together before he does anything about it," She warned.

"What's he going to do, huh?" Logan challenged, "He's an old, retired wrestler, a total burn-out, he can't do crap to me..."

"Just don't push it..." His mom warned again, before leaving the room.

After she left, Logan rolled his eyes, then sighed.

"How about you both go fuck off and leave me the hell alone..."

*Next Day, Lloyd Household, 7:05am*

"Um...sure, okay," Kat said, a little un-easy as she was on the phone, "Yeah, I'll be there...yeah...whatever, bye."

She hung up the phone, as her son Eli started coming downstairs, "Morning, Mom," He said, walking over to the kitchen for breakfast. He expected some type of response from her, but instead he got nothing, which confused him, "Mom?"

"Huh? What?" She asked, being snapped back into reality. Eli rose an eyebrow.

"Everything okay?" He asked, as he poured some milk over his Cheerios.

"Oh...yeah, I just got some weird call," His mom explained, "WWE wants me in Connecticut the first week of October for something..."

"You haven't worked with them for like, 20 years though," Eli mentioned, chewing his cereal.

"I know, that's what's so weird," She said, while putting the milk back in the fridge. After the milk was put away, Bianca came downstairs, in slightly less offending clothing than yesterday, but still offending nonetheless- short blue jean shorts, converse, and a tank top that had a dream catcher on it. She then re-did what her mom just did, and took the milk out, grabbing a glass and pouring herself a cup of milk. She then took a sip from it, before noticing two pairs of eyes on her, causing her to roll hers then grunt.

"What?" She simply asked, looking at her two other family members.

"You really show up at Inconvenient times," Eli said.

"You're birth was an Inconvenient time," Bianca said.

"Can you both shut up," Their mom simply said, "It's too early for this."

"Not my fault you forgot the condom when you and dad accidentally made him," Bianca grumbled, causing Eli to shake his head and her mom to face palm.

"So, your dad's going to be back in a couple hours," Her mom began, "And me and him have some stuff planned..."

"So you two aren't going to be home after school?" Eli asked, taking a bite out of his cereal again.

"We won't be home until like...at least 7," She said, "We'll leave some money for take-out, but other than that, after school come straight home, and stay home," She said, looking at Bianca for the last part, who just rolled her eyes.

A car horn honked from outside, and Bianca dumped her half-empty glass of milk in the sink, while Eli got up to put away his bowl. Eli kissed his mom on the cheek and said bye, before joining his older sister in heading out of the front door to get into the carpool.

"So After School I'm hanging out with Logan and Kendall until Mom and Dad get home," Bianca simply said.

"Well If you're staying out....so am I," Eli said back.

"You don't tell, I won't tell."

"Deal."

***

At Capone High School, the first bell rang, signaling the start of first period. Like yesterday, Leia made the walk through the fine arts wing, into the empty orchestra room to grab her cello. She opened the door to the completely dark room, but when she turned the light on, she realized she wasn't alone.

"AH!" She shrieked, jumping back a little.

"Whoa, It's just me..." She caught herself and realized the voice, then recognized that person as Eli. She took in a deep breath to calm herself, before talking.

"Don't you have a first period class to go to?" She questioned him.

"It's just a study hall," He shrugged, "Besides, If i'm late, I can just tell my teacher I got lost again since It's only the second day."

"Well, what brings you here in my Orchestra room?" Leia asked, causing Eli to raise a questioning eyebrow.

"YOUR orchestra room?" He asked her.

"Well, come on, I may only be a freshman, but I'm the only one who can actually play," She said, getting annoyed by thinking about how bad everyone else was compared to her. Eli chuckled.

"Cocky..."

"I prefer Confident."

"Cocky...Confident, It's still attractive either way."

That made the room get quiet- Did Eli really just call Leia attractive? She couldn't believe it- only a day at this school, and she's realized that In a school full of girls who look like Cinderella, she looks like the two ugly step-sisters. Eli can't be serious, right?

"Well...can I help you?" Leia asked him.

"ACTUALLY, you can," Eli said, a smirk appearing upon his face, "I'm free tonight...and I was wondering...maybe If you're free, too...after school, we could go over to The Blitz, and maybe...you know...chill...just me and you...I Mean, If you want to....?"

"Um...like...you know...a date?" Leia questioned.

"Normally, a date's at night..." Eli explained, "Let's consider this...a pre-date?"

"What's a pre-date?" Leia asked, confused.

"I actually just made it up," Eli shrugged, "But...i guess a pre-date could be like..not a date, but then again, If it goes good, and you end up not hating me, that means we could go on an actual date in the future?"

"I could never hate you, Eli, so don't worry about that," Leia smiled at him, causing Eli to smile back.

"So, after school, I'll meet you back here, and we can walk over to The Blitz?" He asked to confirm.

"It's a date," Leia smiled, but then frowned to catch herself, "Well... a pre-date."

"It's a pre-date," Eli smiled back, before exiting the room. When he left and closed the door, Leia had to stop herself from falling onto the ground.

"Is this seriously happening to me?"

*Lucas' and Zoey's Condo*

The sun was shinning in Downtown Chicago today, right through the windows of Lucas and Zoey's condo. Eventually, It woke Lucas up, though he chose not to wake up his girlfriend since she had been up late dealing with school stuff. After doing his usual routine of quick bedroom exercise, he went straight to the kitchen to make breakfast- Zoey's favorite; white chocolate chip pancakes. Those also happened to be his 'good luck' pancakes.

Growing up, he was told by his Uncle Phil- or Punk, he still wasn't exactly sure what to call him- that "Luck Is For Losers" And that you had to "Go make your own luck". However, Lucas took after his mother in thinking that most of the stuff Phil says happens to be complete bullshit, and he had lots of superstitions as well as good-luck rituals. When Lucas was 13 and wanted to go to Canada to start playing in a Junior league, he was with his dad at the time, who after convincing, warmed up to the idea, but he was positive his mom wouldn't allow it. His dad ended up making White Chocolate Chip pancakes that day for breakfast, and later that day, his dad and mom fought over the topic for hours, but eventually, his dad convinced her to say yes, and a couple weeks later  Lucas was off with a Billet family In Toronto. Ever since, whenever something big is coming up, he'll cook White Chocolate Chip Pancakes- just like he did for the NHL Draft when he went 1st overall, and now, on the day that will decide whether or not he'll actually be playing in the NHL this year.

"oooooh, White Chocolate Chip Pancakes..." Zoey smirked, walking into the kitchen, "You know, you don't need anything for extra luck, you played amazing last night."

"I could have done better," Lucas said, grabbing plates, "You can always play better, always...I should have."

"Do you hear yourself?" Zoey asked him, "You're stressing yourself out over something that's done and over with."

"But what if I didn't play good enough, and that's gonna cost me my spot on the team," Lucas confessed.

"You need to breathe, Luke," Zoey said, as Lucas put a pancake onto a plate and slid it across the counter over to her, "You're a great player, always have been, always will be, and you made people take notice...you have absolutely nothing to worry about..besides," she paused to take a bite of her pancake, "Your Uncle's the head coach, You can always kiss up." Lucas let out a laugh, before grabbing a fork and a knife to start cutting up his pancake.

"I just don't want to leave again, you know?" He asked her, "I mean, spending the summer here in Chicago with you, and my family...I loved it, and I don't want to go back to Rockford and leave this all again."

"And you won't have to," Zoey said, "Watch; You're going to make the line-up, and then, you're going to become the greatest athlete in all of Chicago, and everything will be perfect."

"I really hope so..." Lucas said, taking a bite of his pancakes.

"It'll work out, I promise," Zoey said, causing Lucas to smile.

"And you've never lied to me before," He said, before leaning across the counter to peck a kiss on her lips.

"Damn right I haven't," She smirked to him, "Now, I have a couple hours until I have to head out to Northwestern, so...you're watching last nights episode of The Bachelorette with me."

"Oh no," Lucas instantly sighed.

"Hey, I missed It last night to watch your game," Zoey mentioned, "It's the least you can do." Lucas took another bite of his pancakes, then sighed.

"You are so lucky I love you..." He said, before grabbing his plate, and walking over to the other side of the counter to join his girlfriend.

"Nah, you're lucky that I love you," Zoey smirked to him, before kissing him on the cheek.

"Yep, keep telling yourself that," Lucas said as he and Zoey sat down onto the couch. Zoey let out a fake gasp, before playfully hitting him in the shoulder, before they began watching the show together.

*The Blitz; Eli and Leia's pre-date*

"After knowing him my entire life, I can honestly say Mason is a huge idiot," Eli said, holding the door to The Blitz open for Leia, "But he's a great actor, so It's good we have him in our group."

"I can't believe we actually get to act out Romeo and Juliet in Humanities!" Leia excitedly said as she and Eli looked for a table to sit at.

"I know, my sister said that when she took Humanities, it was boring, but If all we're doing is acting out a play, I'd say it's a pretty good class period," Eli said, as he picked out a table for him and Leia to sit at.

"Does your sister go to Capone still?" Leia asked, tucking strands of her hair behind her ear and adjusting her glasses.

"Yeah, she's a Senior," Eli said, "She's pretty smart and popular, you may know her. Her name's Bianca."

"Bianca Lloyd's your sister?" Leia asked, shocked.

"Yeah, you know her?" Eli asked her.

"Kind of," Leia shrugged, "Isn't she dating that one guy, Logan Brooks?" Eli sighed.

"Yeah....It's weird, his parents and my parents are like, great friends since they worked together, so we all grew up together, and now, they're dating...It's weird," Eli confessed, "Plus, he's kind of an asshole."

"Are you talking about my brother?"

Leia and Eli both turned their heads to look at the girl who said that. While Leia had no idea who the person was, Eli instantly recognized her as Kendall, practically a cousin to him, his older sisters best friend, and the little sister of the guy he just called an asshole.

"Um...Uh..." Eli stuttered, feeling embarrassed.

"Don't worry, I think he's an asshole, too," Kendall confessed.

"I like James and Carlos, but Logan's just...just..." Eli said, stumbling to find the right words.

"He's just Logan," Kendall rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, exactly," Eli agreed. His eye then caught on to Leia across the table, who looked rather uncomfortable. "OH! Leia, this is Kendall, she's Logan's little sister and my sisters best friend."

"You and Logan are twins?" Leia asked, shocked.

"No, but Logan is a triplet," Kendall explained, "However, because he's a dumbass, while my other two brothers are off In Florida to become Wrestlers, he's still here...with me..." Complete annoyance was in her voice at this point.

"So why are you here?" Eli asked.

"Oh, my parents think Logan and I need to start getting more responsible...so," She paused to shrug her shoulders, "I got a job here, hopefully Logan doesn't join me...Now, anyway," She then reached into her pocket to grab a pen and raised up her notepad, "What can I get you, Niners?"

"Um..do you like cheese fries? We could split them," Eli asked Leia. She just nodded, "Alright, bring us a plate of cheese fries and two glasses of water, please."

"No problem," Kendall smiled, before walking away.

"So...since we're on the topic of it," Eli began, "Wrestling...your parents used to do it, right?"

"Yeah," Leia said, "My mom stopped a couple years before she and my dad ad-"

Leia quickly stopped herself. She's only known Eli for two days, and this was only the pre-date, she can't just come out and say she was adopted, right? She doesn't know how this whole 'dating' thing goes quite yet.

"My mom stopped wrestling a couple years before I was born," Leia said, "And my dad stopped about....five years ago, I think?"

"Really? My mom stopped after she got Pregnant with my older brother, and my dad still wrestles, but I think he's planning on retiring soon...I don't know," Eli shrugged.

"Oh, well who are your parents?" Leia asked.

"Uh...hmm...I know this sounds bad, but they go under ring names," Eli explained, "My mom's ring name was rather stupid, so I never even bothered to learn her ring name. As for my dad...um...uh...Angel...Black? I don't know, he's had like a million different names," He paused to shrug, "What about your parents?"

"They went under ring names, too," Leia said, "My mom's was REALLY stupid, like...Princess....? I don't know, something like that. As for my dad, he just used some old plain boring name, I never bothered to learn it, either."

"Well It's still cool that are parents might know each other," Eli smiled.

"Yeah, they were probably friends, you know...Like us," Leia smiled back.

"That would be awesome," Eli said, still smiling at her. They kept smiling at each other, until Eli broke the silence. "So, how long have you been playing cello?"

*Lucas and Zoey's Condo*

"YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" Lucas shouted at his tv screen. He was currently playing an intense video games- well he was, he just died. Zoey left a few hours ago for school, so Lucas has been busy at home, trying to occupy his time while waiting for a phone call from the Blackhawks coaching staff to learn whether or not he was starting in Chicago this season or not.

"I swear to-"

He was cut off by the sound of a knock on his door. He sighed, before getting up and opening it, only to see Quentin there.

"Have you heard anything yet?" Quentin asked. Lucas just sighed.

"I wish...you?" Lucas asked him. Quentin sighed as well, before shaking his head. Lucas gestured for him to come in, so he did. He and Lucas both walked back over to the couch, and flopped down onto it.

"Man, I'm about to have a completely panic attack if I don't hear anything from them soon," Quentin began, "I swear I'm ab-"

Quentin was cut off by the sound of his phone ringing in his pocket.

"What the hell are you waiting for, answer it!" Lucas said, looking at his friend who was nearly stunned. Quentin then got back in touch with reality, and quickly answered his phone.

"Hello? Yes, this is he......Yes...Okay..." The look on Quentin's face instantly changed into a much brighter mood, "Really!? Oh...Okay! Yes! Yeah, Thank you!" Quentin hung up, then smiled back at Lucas.

"I made the line-up!" He shouted, as Lucas's face lit up in excitement for him, too.

"That's great, man!" Lucas said, as he and Quentin went in for a bro-hug.

"It's good, but It'll be great once you get that same call," Quentin said, as Lucas sighed.

"Hopefully..." Lucas said.

"No hopefully about it," Quentin said, "You're gonna get the call soon."

"I've been waiting ALL day for the call, and It has yet to come," Lucas said.

"I've been waiting all day, too, and I JUST got it....don't worry, You'll get the call soon," Quentin reassured him.

"Yeah, but how soon is soon?" Lucas asked.

"Dude, get a grip," Quentin said, "You'll get it."

"But wh-"

Lucas was cut off by the sound of his phone ringing, catching him and Quentin off guard. Lucas quickly reached into his pocket to pull out his cell phone. He looked at the caller ID, then back at Quentin.

"It's them," He simply said. Quentin looked at his phone, then scrunched his face, then looked back at Lucas.

"You have Coach's ID name as 'Uncle Jonny'?" He asked him. Lucas shrugged.

"Well, he is my uncle...WAIT THAT'S NOT THE POINT!" He said, as he answered the call. "HELLO-" He paused to let out a cough and lower his voice back to normal, "Hello? Yes...this is he....yes...yes...okay...Wait, really? Seriously? Um...okay, thanks for the call..yeah, bye," Lucas hung up the phone, the same boring, plain expression he had before. He looked at Quentin, who sighed.

"That doesn't look good," Quentin said, sadly.

"It looks great, actually, you know...since I just got on the line-up for the team," Lucas said, causing Quentin's mouth to drop.

"You made the team!?" He asked him.

"Hell yeah I did!" Lucas shouted. He and Quentin went in for another bro-hug.

"WE'RE GOING TO BE IN THE NHL!"

Chapter 2 //"Who's That?"

*3:15, Kiley household*

Leia Kiley just got home from her first day of high school. She looked around, until she saw that both of her parents were in their home gym located in the basement. She went through the kitchen and down the hall into her room, where she sat her backpack down, then put her Cello in it's usual spot, before grabbing her laptop and sitting on her windowsill- the way it was built was like a couch kind of, except it was a window, so often Leia would sit there to do homework, compose Cello songs, or, like she was now, scroll the internet. Once her laptop started up, she went onto the internet and straight on the hit social networking site, Splash Range. According to her parents, it was some copy of some old social networking site called Face Book, but Face Book sounded like a stupid name, so she just assumed they made it up.

Once Leia logged onto her account, she was planning on looking someone up, but noticed he already beat her to it:

Leia smiled and accepted it, then decided to do some casual Splash Range stalking on Eli. The first thing she noticed was his profile picture- nothing special, just a selfie he took of him laying in the grass, sunglasses on and a big smile on his face, though Leia still found it beyond attractive.  She then looked and saw that in his "About" section, he said that he worked as the assistant manager at "Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory", causing her to giggle, before she started looking at more stuff, until she found the one she was most looking for-

Basic Information:
Birthday: July 12th, 2018
Gender: Male
Relationship Status: Single

"Attractive, funny, good taste in music, smart...and single," Leia said to herself, with a smile on her face.

"Who's single?"

The voice startled Leia, and she turned toward her door to notice that her mom was standing there, a bit sweaty from her workout and a cold bottle of water in hand. Leia huffed out a breath, then rolled her eyes.

"Haven't you heard of a thing called privacy?" Leia asked sarcastically, causing her mom to raise an eyebrow.

"This is my house, I can do whatever I want, now watch it," She warned, causing Leia to roll her eyes again. Her mom took a sip of her water, before smiling again, "So...Who's single?"

"Just some guy," Leia mumbled, before her mom came running over like an excited teenage girl. She sat next to Leia and took a look at her laptop screen.

"Eli...he's cute!" Her mom said, causing Leia to groan.

"Mom...that's gross," She groaned.

"Well do you want me to say your crush is ugly?" She asked her.

"He isn't my crush," Leia said, though deep down, she knew that was a lie- She was totally crushing on Eli/

"Well, I'll say this...he looks really familiar..." Her mom said, squinting her eyes to get a better look at the picture of Eli, "Did he go to Junior High with you?"

"No, I just met him today," Leia said. Her mom shrugged, giving up.

"Well, Just don't mention him to your dad, you know how he gets," Her mom reminded, causing Leia to grunt.

"Yeah...I do," She sighed, her dad had a habit of being over-protective, as she was their only child.

"So then, I take it your first day of high school was good?" Her mom asked her.

"Yeah...I guess you could say that," Leia said, looking down to hide a smile.

Leia's mom reached down to kiss her on the forehead, before leaving the room. Leia smiled, before continuing to learn more about Eli through his profile.

"OOOOOH, who's she?" Eli's mom said, peering down on his white IPhone v3. Eli quickly locked the screen, before sighing.

"Shouldn't you be watching Lucas play?" Eli asked. Eli, his mom, his aunt and uncle Sarah and Patrick, Mason, and Lucas's dad Patrick and aunt Erica were currently at the United Center, ready to see Lucas play  in his final pre-season game for the Chicago Blackhawks.

"Warm-ups," His mom said, "Now...who's my son crushing on?"

"Eli has a crush?" His aunt Sarah asked, coming over to them with a cocktail in her hand, "What's her name!?"

"Why are you guys so interested in my love life?" Eli quickly asked, and quickly regretted.

After Eli said that, the whole box erupted in a sea of "OHHH" and gasps. He quickly rolled his eyes, then shook his head.

"Oh, so now you have a love life?" His mom quizzed, raising an eyebrow and putting her hands on her hips. Eli huffed out a hot breath of air.

"Can we just drop it?" He asked, getting embarrassed talking about the subject in front of so many people.

"For now we can," His mom said to him, before taking a seat.

"Mase," Sharpie said, nudging his son with a smirk on his face, "Meet any girls today?"

"None that were good enough," Mason smirked, getting a snicker out of his dad, and Lucas's dad who was sitting near by, but Lucas's aunt Erica heard the comment and gave the boys a glare, immediately shutting them up.

"Kaner," Sharpie said to him, "Can you believe we're about to watch Tazer coach your son in an exhibition game?" Kaner let out a heavy sigh.

"I still can't believe that Toews' is my brother-in-law," He said, looking at Erica, who smiled in response, "Yet alone that my only son is old enough for the NHL."

"Hopefully, we'll be back here to watch more of his games," Sharpie said, getting nods out of everyone.

The lights in the U.C all went out, as a video package aired with the players of tonight's line-up, as all the players exited the ice and into the locker room to prepare for the game one last time.

*Locker room, NO P.O.V*

Everyone in the locker room was dressed up, ready to play a hockey game. For some players, it was just a warm-up game; they had already earned their spots playing with the Chicago Blackhawks. Then, you had players like Lucas and Quentin, who had to go big or go home- well, back to Rockford. Some of Lucas's family and friends were there- both of his parents, his aunt Erica, his 'Aunt' Sarah and 'Uncle' Patrick, his little brother and his little brother's best friend. The Brooks family had all promised to watch the game at home, while his little sister, Bianca, was probably with them, since his mom had told him she wouldn't be coming. And his girlfriend, Zoey, would also be watching at home- she wanted to come, but she had a lot of homework from Northwestern, so Lucas just told her to stay home and watch from there.

But all of that was in the back of Lucas's mind- now, It was time for him to focus on nothing but Hockey, and becoming a Chicago Blackhawk.

The room then went quiet, as first time head coach, and former Blackhawks legend, as well as Lucas's uncle, Jonathan Toews entered the room.

"Let's go kill it out there," Was all he said to the men, as they all got up and into order- their goalie and starting line-up were in the front, followed by everyone else. Lucas was playing Right Wing on the third line tonight, along with center Jaxon  McDowell and Left wing, Quentin Michaelchuk. All three of them were Rookies, hoping to land a permanent spot with the Blackhawks, so no question whenever their line was on the ice, they would be giving it 110%.

As the team got onto the ice and benched, the goal horn went off, as the crowd of people at the Madhouse cheered. As Lucas sat down on the bench next to his line, he looked over in the 100 section at the box, in which his family and friends were sitting in. He couldn't exactly see them, but he knew they were there, making him smile, before he took another look around the United Center, or as it was known, the Madhouse On Madison. His dad and his uncle both used to constantly light up the lamp here, and this was his favorite place to come to as a kid, and he used to imagine getting to constantly light up the lamp as well.

Tonight was his chance to make that happen.

"Now or never..." Lucas whispered to himself, as the lights dimmed for the national anthem.

*Kiley Household, No P.O.V*

"WHOA, this rookie for the Blackhawks is AMAZING!" Alex Riley said, sitting on his sofa with a beer in hand, taking in the Chicago Blackhawks game. Growing up in D.C, he was a Capitals fan, but ever since he moved to Chicago to be with his wife and daughter, he's grown into a Blackhawks fan.

"Which one?" His wife, Kathryn asked, coming into the room with a beer for him and a bottle of water for herself.

"That Lucas Kane kid," He said, as Lucas Kane was busy celebrating a goal he had just scored. At that, Kathryn gagged, getting an eyebrow raised out of Alex, "What's your problem with the new kid?"

"My Problem happens to be his last name," Kathryn stated.

"Kane?" Alex asked, not getting it, "What's wrong with that? He's the son of Patrick Kane, a legend."

"It's not his father I have a problem with, but," Kathryn began, "Do you remember who his mother is?"

That's when Alex realized why she didn't like him. He sighed, then rubbed his temples, shaking his heads.

"Babe, I know you and that Kasey Angel chick didn't get along-"

"Don't get along!? She was a total bitch and I HATED her!" Kathryn pointed out.

"But that was in the past, WWE days!" Alex said, "It was a character!"

"Oh, You KNOW I didn't just hate her character and she didn't just hate my character," Kathryn said, "That hatred we had for each other was real, Inside and Outside of the ring."

"That was YEARS ago!" Alex pointed out, "She has kids, we have a kid...things change, you gotta let go of some things."

"Well," Kathryn began, "Sometimes, things, no, Sometimes PEOPLE don't change, and sometimes, you gotta hold onto something for dear life, and this is one of those things," She said firmly. Alex sighed at his wife's stubbornness,  something he had grown used to in the past couple years that they've been together.

"I swear," Kathryn began, "I haven't seen Kasey Angel ever since she left the company to go play 'Mommy' and I want to keep it that way. I NEVER want to, in ANY way, have to see her again, EVER."

*Chicago Blackhawks Locker room, after the game*

"DUDE, WE KILLED IT OUT THERE TONIGHT!" Quentin shouted to Lucas, as he and the rest of the team entered the locker room, excited over a 4-1 win, 2 of those goals coming from the third line, one from Lucas, one from Jaxon, and Quentin getting an assist on both goals. Quentin and Lucas both sat down at their stalls, starting to take their skates off.

"Go big, or go back to Rockford, right?" Lucas said, smiling at his best friend and team mate.

"After this game, I doubt we'll be going back to Rockford," Quentin said, as Lucas sighed.

"Hopefully not..." He said, putting up one of his skates, and beginning to take off his other skate.

"Hey," Quentin said, "Don't talk like that. We made a huge impression tonight, now, all we have to do is-"

Quentin was once again interrupted by the coaching staff entering the locker room. Everyone looked up as Head Coach Jonathan Toews looked at all of his men, the one's who were just warming up, and the hopeful ones.

"I'll be making final decisions for the regular season line-up tomorrow, but for now, good game, men, Media's coming in soon," He said, before he and the rest of the staff walked out of the locker room.

Lucas and Quentin looked back at eachother, before Lucas sighed.

"Ready for the waiting game?" Lucas asked.

"I won't rest until I find out if I'm staying or going back to Rockford..." Quentin said.

"Hopefully..."

Chapter 1 // The First And Last Impression

*September 21st, 2032, 4:30am*

The sound of heavy breathing filled the air. The room, which was once cool, was now hot due to the body heat. They turned all the lights off with the exception of the one in the middle to see if that would help- it didn't. They've been going at it for 90 minutes now, 30 minutes more than they said they would. Enough was enough.

"Alright," Quentin Michaelchuk said, grabbing a firm hold of his punching bag to stop it, "that's enough."

He walked over to his friend Lucas Kane, who was busy bench pressing. Quentin helped him grab a hold of his weights and put them up, then Lucas sat up and wiped the sweat off of his forehead.

"Some spotter you are," Lucas mumbled, before reaching down to his Gatorade bottle, "Instead of making sure I don't fuck up, you go off and hit the punching bag..." He paused, to take a sip of his blue Gatorade, "I could have possibly died."

"And I would have helped you parents with the funeral arrangements," Quentin responded, wiping the sweat away from his face with a towel. Lucas rolled his eyes, before taking another sip of his blue Gatorade. "Come on, we've already been working out since 3, we should be heading back."

"'Aight," Lucas said, getting up and stretching out his limbs, then he grabbed his gym bag, before following Quentin out of the warehouse.

When Lucas was 13, he left the city of Chicago, and America all together, to go play Junior Hockey with the Toronto Ravens, the team he played with until he was 18 and got drafted by the Blackhawks, the same team that drafted his dad and his Uncle Jonathan. When he came back to Chicago for the Christmas holidays, his dad surprised him with this warehouse- he had found it, then transformed it into a private gym. Lucas and his dad used to spend hours out here working out whenever Lucas was at home with him. Eventually, Lucas even brought the Brooks Triplets- James, Carlos and Logan- back here when they began training for their wrestling careers, and he also occasionally brings his little brother Eli out here. Now, he brings out his former Toronto Ravens teammate, also a current prospect of the Chicago Blackhawks, and his best friend, Quentin. With both of them trying to make the final lineup for the season, they've spent any freetime they had here- free time includes sleeping hours.

"What time do we have morning skate again?" Lucas asked, as he hopped in the passengers seat of Quentin's SUV.

"I think we gotta be there by 10am," Quentin replied, while starting his car, and hitting the Chicago streets, which were being lit up by the city lights.

"Great, i can probably get four hours of sleep before the skate, then get a couple more hours before the game," Lucas said, rubbing his eyes.

"Good, we can't have you falling asleep on the ice," Quentin joked, "It's the last game of the pre-season, and they've already sent a lot of rookies back to Rockford, yet we're still here. It's our last chance to make a good first impression and earn those spots on the lineup, and I'm not gonna be wearing the Indian Head sweatshirt unless you're wearing it with me," Lucas smiled at this, "Though, in a tragic event in which you get sent back to Rockford and I don't, I'll live." And with that, Lucas's smile quickly changed into a frown.

"Way to ruin a good moment, Q," Lucas said, rolling his eyes.

"Come on, You'd do the same thing in my situation, wouldn't you?" Quentin asked, causing Lucas to bow his head. "See! You totally would!"

"I've been playing on the same line as you since I was 13, and here we are 7 years later, trying to make it into the NHL together," Lucas reflected. "It would just feel weird not being able to drive to games with you, not working out with you...."

"Yeah, I've known you since your awkward stage...braces, being the shortest guy on the team..." Quentin reflected, making a terrified face.

"You're one to talk about awkward stages...." Lucas countered.

"Hey, I NEVER had an awkward stage," Quentin defended.

"You didn't hit puberty until our third season out there," Lucas chuckled, "You had the highest, most squeakiest voice on the team...hilarious."

"Mother nature was a bitch to me," Quentin grumbled, causing Lucas to raise an eyebrow.

"I don't think Mother Nature has a role in deciding when you become a man," Lucas said, "It's called mother nature...which means it deals with nature...as in the outdoors."

"Then why do girls always blame mother nature when it's their time of the month?" Quentin Asked.

"I don't know, they're hormonal and they need something to blame?" Lucas thought. "Zoey doesn't really get hormonal though, it's mostly her complaining about her cramps and how she wants to go to some buffet for dinner."

"Man, that is exactly why I don't have a girlfriend, they're too much man, they get you whipped," Quentin said.

"There is a whole list of reasons why you don't have a girlfriend," Lucas counted, causing Quentin to roll his eyes, as he pulled over outside of a loft.

"You are so lucky we're at your place now, or else I would have left your ass to hitchhike," Quentin told him, "Now get the hell out of my car, white boy." Lucas let out a chuckle, before reaching into the back to grab his gym bag.

"I'll see you in the morning," He said, as he got out of the car.

"Call me if you need a ride, hitchhiker," Quentin yelled after him, before driving away.

Lucas entered the building, before heading up to the loft he shared with his girlfriend of one year, Zoey. Lucas and Zoey have literally known each other since they were babies- they parents were friends, and their dads were both wrestling in the WWE, so it was easy for them to become friends,  and after 19 years, they became more than friends, and they've been together ever since.

He jingled the keys out of his pocket, then unlocked the door and headed inside, only to find Zoey wide awake and up watching tv.

"Zoe?" He asked, confused at what he was seeing. Zoey turned around and saw him, then smiled.

"Hey babe!" She smiled and waved, patting the empty couch cushion next to her.

"What are you doing up this early?" Lucas asked, setting his gym bag down and walking over.

"I could ask you the same thing," Zoey said, a smirk on her face, and that's when it clicked in for Lucas, "I've been up ever since Q stopped by."

"We were that loud?" Lucas asked.

"You're over-working yourself," Zoey said, "You have a morning skate in a couple hours, then a whole game..."

"I'll be fine," Lucas said.

"You're working out way too hard and that could have a bad effect on some of your muscles and lead to an injury," Zoey said, concerned. "I know you want this, Luke, but you're trying way too hard."

"Zoe," Lucas said, resting both of his hands on her shoulders, "I'm only amping up my workout schedule during the preseason, and tonight, it'll be over. I swear, once I get news on whether or not I'm staying here in Chicago or going back to Rockford, I'll go back to my regular schedule. I'm gonna be fine, babe." Zoey looked down at the ground, then back up at Lucas.

"You better not be heading back to Rockford, I hated having you hours away from me last year, and I'm not doing it again," She said, "No way I can live in this loft all alone again."

"Don't worry, you won't," Lucas said reassuringly, before planting a kiss on Zoey's lips. "Now, I have a morning skate in a few hours, so I'm gonna grab some sleep before then, AND you have a lecture at Northwestern tomorrow, so you should join me."

"Not until tomorrow afternoon," Zoey reminded him. "I can't believe I don't have to head to Class until One!"

***

"I can't believe it's 7am and I'm up getting ready for High School," Eli Lloyd grumbled, as he took a seat at his kitchen table, taking a sip of orange juice waiting for his mom to finish his toast.

"I don't even have anything to do today, but I'm still up at 7am too helping you and your sister get ready for school," His mom mumbled, rolling her eyes.

"In Junior High, I didn't have to wake up until 7:45 to start getting ready, now, I have to be at High School at 7:45," Eli sighed. His mom sighed too, walking over and placing his toast in front of him, before placing her hands on his shoulders.

"High School Sucks," She began.

"Thanks for the reassurance, mother," Eli mumbled, rolling his eyes.

"Let me finish," She said sternly, "High School Sucks, Spend it with people who don't."

"Mason," Eli smirked.

"Oh, speaking of him, " His mom began, "Your Aunt Sarah wants him to carpool with you, you're sister, Kendall and Logan."

"What?" Eli asked, "You want me to drive to school with Bianca and Logan?"

"And Kendall and Mason," His mom reminded.

"But Bianca and Logan?" He asked again, "Can't you just drive me?"

"Are You kidding me?" His mom asked, "After you two leave, I'm heading straight back to sleep."

"Come on..." Eli sighed, causing his mom to sigh as well.

"Bianca and Logan aren't that bad," She reminded him.

"They can't keep their hands off of each other," Eli mumble, causing his mom to raise her eyebrow.

"They what?" She asked. Eli put down his toast, and turned around to look at her.

"Logan kept her out past curfew the entire summer, what do you think they were doing that caused them to be late?" Eli asked her. His mom closed her eyes and clenched her teeth in frustration.

"I am going to kill that girl," She grumbled.

"We're about to go to High-School, I'm sure you'd be doing her a favor If you did that," Eli said, before getting up and putting his plate in the dishwasher. His mom sighed.

"It can wait until after Lucas's game tonight," She said, shaking her head, before their doorbell rang. "That's probably Mason."

"I'll grab it," Eli said, running his left hand through his dark hair, while also heading over to the front door to open it, revealing his best friend- Mason Sharp. The two bumped fist, before Eli invited Mason in.

"Nah, there's a car already out there, I'm guessing Bianca's boyfriend and sister?" Mason explained.

"Mom, Logan and Kendall are here," Eli shouted over to his mom. She just nodded, before turning her head toward the staircase.

"BIANCA, LOGAN AND KENDALL ARE HERE, GET DOWN HERE, NOW," She yelled upstairs. A moment later, Bianca appeared, causing Mason's eyes to pop out, Eli to groan and turn his head, and left her mom shocked.

"Whatever," Bianca said, walking over and grabbing her toast to eat in the car.

"Um, have you looked in the mirror, young lady?" Her mom asked, crossing her arms.

"Obviously, I couldn't have done my makeup without it," Bianca said as if it were obvious.

"Obviously, You didn't because if you did, you would have seen what you looked like," Her mom countered.

"You look hot," Mason said, causing Eli to gag, as well as Bianca.

"Shut up, you 12 year old perv," She responded, a look of disgust on her face.

"I'm 14," Mason grunted out.

"And yet your balls still have yet to drop," Bianca said.

"BIANCA!" Her mom shouted, causing Bianca to turn around and look at her, then she smirked seeing how mad she was making her. Her mom closed her eyes and took a deep breath, before continuing, "There is absolutely no way you're leaving the house looking like that."

"Watch Me," Bianca said, before taking a bite of her toast, then walking out of the house, pushing Eli and Mason out of the way. She left her mom absolutely baffled by her attitude, and it was visible. Before he and Mason left, Eli turned to look at her.

"Dad has RAW tonight, then he'll be back tomorrow morning," He reminded her, before walking out the door. Bianca had already sat in the passenger seat next, so Eli and Mason hopped in the back, Eli choosing to sit in the middle, right between Mason and Kendall, Logan's little sister. Eli buckled his seat belt, then noticed Kendall was looking out the window. He was confused at first, until he saw that Logan and Bianca were busy in the front seat making out. He gagged, then turned to Kendall.

"They make you uncomfortable, too?" He asked her. Kendall turned around a looked at him.

"My best friend and older brother making out?" She said, before sighing. "Absolutely."

"You aren't the only one," Mason chimed in, crossing his arms. Finally, Bianca And Logan broke the kiss, and Bianca leaned over to turn on the radio to B96, then put on her seat belt.

"Well then," Logan began, putting his hands on the steering wheel, "Capone High School, watch out, because the coolest Seniors and coolest Freshmen are on their way to grace everyone with their presence."

***

"Alright, SOOOOOOOOOOOOO," Bianca said, bringing out the 'o', "According to our schedules, Me and Kendall have basically every class together since we're both taking basically all AP classes," She said, then paused to smile at Kendall, who returned one back, though it wasn't too sincere, "BUT, Logan, we have lunch, P.E, Study Hall AND Ceramics together!"

"It sucks my grades aren't good enough for AP classes like you two," Logan sighed.

"Who's fault is that..." Kendall silently mumbled to herself.

"Don't worry, only one more year of this school, then you're done," Bianca reassured him, also placing a kiss on his visible neck, causing him to smile. Then, the bell rang, getting a sigh out of Bianca. "I'll see you 4th Period for P.E."

"Can't wait," Logan smiled, before the two kissed, and Logan headed off in a separate direction toward his class, leaving Bianca and Kendall.

"Well then," Kendall said, to break the silence. Bianca brought her schedule up to her face to look at it, then back at Kendall.

"Well, Kenny," She said, referring to Kendall by her nickname, "Looks like we have Pre-Calc first period."

"What?" Kendall groaned, "Seriously?"

"I know, we should have Logan stop us off at Starbucks first if we're gonna make it through that class first thing in the morning," Bianca rolled her eyes.

"This should be fun," Kendall sighed, before she and Bianca headed upstairs to their pre-calc room.

"Alright!" Mason shouted excitedly, looking at his and Eli's schedule, "We have our study hall first period, also known as nap time."

"Say what you want, but I'm just going to do my homework in-"

"Oh My Gosh, Eli, is that you!?"

Eli stopped his sentence when he heard that voice- the voice of a girl from Junior High. Most of the girls in Junior High has a crush on him, and made him know it. Sadly for them, Eli had no interest, but he's not good letting people down, so It's not like he can just go up to them and tell them he doesn't like them and to leave him alone.

"Damnit.." Eli mumbled, before he started to run away.

"WAIT, OUR STUDY HALL'S UPSTAIRS, THOUGH," Mason shouted after him, but Eli ignored him and kept running. He didn't know where to run to, but he wanted to avoid those girls at all costs.

Eli ended up running into the fine arts wing all the way at the other side of the school, but he still had girls following him, so once he got into the fine arts wing, he ran down the hall and into the first class he saw, then slammed the door behind him. He peered out the small window in the door, and saw the girls go right past the room, causing him to let out a relived sigh. Then, he turned around, and froze when he saw a girl standing there with a cello in hand.

"Oh...I'm sorry," He said to her.

"Um, It's fine," She said, setting her bow down on her stand, so she could tuck a strand of her blonde hair behind her ear as well as adjust her glasses. That's when Eli noticed it.

This girl was absolutely beautiful.

Eli smiled, before walking closer. "You play cello?"

"I have since I was little," She admitted, "I'm playing for the Orchestra and the Wind Ensemble this year."

"Wow, impressive, so you're an upperclassman?" He asked her.

"Nope, I'm a Freshman," She said, only making Eli shocked, yet impressed.

"That's a class full of Juniors and Seniors," He said.

"Yeah...I'm the only Freshman," She shrugged,"I have a Study Hall this period, but I talked with the teacher, and since there's no music classes going on First Period, they're allowing me to spend it here practicing."

"That's awesome," Eli said, a whole smile planted on his face. "I play guitar, but I'm also learning bells and Marimba for the Percussion Ensemble."

"You play string and percussion?" The girl asked, also looking impressed. "You don't look like the Musician type."

"There's a type?" Eli asked.

"No, but there's a type of people who are popular, and you look like one of those people," She responded.

"I'm also a Wrestler," Eli explained, "But Guitar's my life, and I'd rather be doing that than wrestling, but it makes my dad happy, since he wrestlers." That caused the girls mouth to drop.

"My dad AND my mom used to wrestle!" She said.

"My Mom used to wrestle too!" Eli said, "WWE?"

"Of course!" She smiled.

"Wow, Incredible," Eli smiled.

"Here we are with two athletic parents, yet we chose the music lifestyle," She said.

"You don't choose the music lifestyle, the music lifestyle chooses you," Eli said, causing the girl to chuckle.

"Um, I have to get back to my cello, but you said you were In the Percussion Ensemble, right?" She asked.

"Yeah, they didn't have any classes I could play Guitar in, so I just chose that since I can kind of play Marimba," Eli explained.

"Well, the Orchestra class I'm in is the same period as Percussion Ensemble, 7th...hopefully I'll see you around here around then," She said, giving a warm smile that Eli returned.

"Yeah, you will," Eli said.

The girl turned and picked up her bow, then sat back down and turned a page of her sheet music and grabbed her Cello. Eli smiled as he watched, then he turned around to walk out, but something stopped him.

"Oh!" He said, turning around right before the girl was about to start playing. "My name's Eli, by the way. Eli Lloyd." The girl smiled again.

"My name's Leia, by the way. Leia Kiley."

***

"There is absolutely no way I'm passing Earth Space Science," Mason confessed, as he and Eli walked to their 3rd Period class- Humanities 1.

"I'm not going their until 8th period, but if you think that's hard, wait until you get to Ms. Whatever her name is' Spanish Class," Eli huffed.

"My mom took Spanish and said it was stupid, so I'm taking French 1 instead," Mason smirked.

"Lucky," Eli huffed again, before the two entered the Humanities Classroom.

When the two entered the class, it was full of mostly preps.

"Alright, look at all the hot girls," Mason whispered to Eli, a smirk on his face.

Eli looked around, but then he saw one girl, and instantly forgot about everyone else in the room.

He saw Leia Kiley.

She was sitting by herself, over in the corner of the room, busy in thought drawing or writing or something in a notebook. Eli smiled, before making his way over to her. Mason was confused, but followed him nonetheless.

"Looks like we'll be seeing each other before 7th period, huh?" Eli said, taking the seat next to Leia, ignoring that Mason took the seat next to him. Leia's head rose from her notebook, and she cracked a smile.

"Looks like we will," She said back, as the two smiled right at each other. Mason felt uncomfortable, so to break the tension, he loudly cleared his throat, catching Eli's attention.

"OH!" He said, "Leia, this is Mason, my best friend, and Mason, this Leia, I met her first period, and she's pretty awesome and smart."

"You think I'm smart?" Leia asked, shocked.

"Of course I do," Eli smiled, causing Leia to smile again as well. The bell rang again, preventing them from saying anything else.

"Hello, Freshman! Welcome to Humanities 1. I'm Mrs. Saunders, and I'll be your teacher throughout the year," Mrs. Saunders began. "The thing about this class is, that in every story we read, i can guarantee, someone will die." She paused, as the people in the class snickered, and she shook her head, "Tragic, I know. SPEAKING of Tragic, if you look at the course syllabus on your desks, our first unit is picking up where you left off in Junior High- William Shakespeare." The class all grunted and complained, but she shushed them.

"Trust me, I'm not a big fan of his work, he's rather creepy," She confessed, "But for our Shakespeare unit, we'll be learning more about his life, as well as reading and acting out scenes from his most famous play, Romeo and Juliet, the story of two star-crossed lovers who came from two families who absolutely hated each other. OH! Actually, if you give me a moment, I can run outside and grab you your books for it!"

When Mrs. Saunders left, Mason turned to Eli to say something, but stopped when he noticed Eli was already focused on Leia. Mason turned his head back, then sighed.

"This class is gonna be fun...."

*5:45pm, Zoey and Lucas' Loft*

"Hey, Zoe, Can you-"

"I'm On it."

Zoey put down the tv remote, and walked over to the kitchen, where Lucas was busy attempting- and failing- to tie his tie. Zoey sighed, as she came over to help him.

"You know," She began, "You're 20, shouldn't you know how to tie a tie? Especially if you're going to be in the NHL?"

"I'll learn later, you know, when I don't have a game in two hours," Lucas said.

"Whoa, someone's snarky," Zoey said, finishing up his.

"Am not....just nervous," Lucas said. Zoey planted a kiss on his lips.

"You'll do great, okay?" Zoey reassured him.

Lucas was about to respond, but then their was a knock on the door. Lucas sighed, then walked over to look through the peephole, then he opened it, revealing Quentin, who was also in a suit and tie.

"You ready?" Quentin asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be," Lucas replied.

"Come on," Quentin said, growing a smile on his face, "Let's go earn our spots in the NHL."

The Blurb // Characters.

Lucas Kane-20 Years Old

If you were to ask Lucas, his biggest problem is that he cares too much, and now that he's about to enter his Rookie Season for the NHL, that one problem could ruin him. Between being an "Overprotective" big brother to Bianca and Eli, a loving boyfriend to Zoey, and over-achieving athlete and a son who just wants to make his parents proud, It's hard to hate Lucas, unless you're a fan of any other NHL team other than the Blackhawks, then it's easy to hate him since he manages to make goalies look like circus acts when he plays. But of course, with fame comes a price, and he might not be able to pay that price, and if he doesn't, it could quite possibly ruin every aspect of his life.

Zoey Cena-20

Zoey's Parents were successful in the Sports-Entertainment industry, and Zoey's looking to be just as successful- in the Law firm industry. She lives in Chicago and attends Northwestern as a commuter student, studying Law and hoping to become a lawyer. Besides being an aspiring students, she's also a loving girlfriend to her long-time best friend and for the past year, boyfriend, Lucas, who just so happens to be starting his rookie season with the Chicago Blackhawks this season. Zoey's just loving life. But when her boyfriend's fame gets complicated, everything else in her life gets complicated. She must figure out not only how much she can trust him, but how much she can trust herself.

Logan Brooks-18

The youngest of the Brooks triplets, and the most troublesome, Logan was held back in school. So while James and Carlos are out in Florida, training to get WWE contracts and continue the wrestling legacy their parents started, he's stuck in Chicago at high school with his little sister Kendall. The only good thing about this is that he can spend more time with his girlfriend, Bianca. But when his dad's growing tired of Logan's care-free attitude, and his brothers pressuring him with Wrestling, Logan gets pissed off, and decides to make everyone happy by doing something serious-yet life threatening- that also involves wrestling...kind of. But not only could this decision take his life, but it could also take the life of the person he loves the most.

Bianca Lloyd-17

Bianca used to be a good kid. Then, she started dating Logan Brooks. Now, she has a whole new look, and a 'bad girl' attitude. Sneaking out, breaking curfew, skipping classes and detention have all become new activities for Bianca, something her parents are frustrated about. Simply put- Bianca just doesn't care. Not what her family thinks, not what society thinks, and not what her best friend AND her boyfriend's little sister thinks. Nothing can change Bianca's attitude- except maybe some sirens and flashing lights.

Kendall Brooks-17

Not much has changed with Kendall- though everything else in her life has. Her best friend Bianca has not only turned into a total slut, but she's also dating her asshole of a brother who's still living at him and in high school, while the two brothers she actually likes are half-way across the country. With two parents who are wrestling legends, and brothers who are on their way, Kendall's easily kicked into their shadows. It seems like everyone has a place or knows where they belong, except Kendall, and she's sick of it. How much can she take?

Eli Lloyd-14

Not only is Eli athletic, but he's a musician, playing guitar. Plus, he doesn't look ugly, and he has a great, joking, lovable personality. Eli can't help it, he's practically a dream guy. Plus- his old best friend Mason is moving back to Chicago, so the two are ready for their Freshman year of high school, and to take over the role as the most popular kids. But all his motives change when he meets a cello player in the music room, and he's completely attracted to her. Too bad that his friends and family can't accept that he actually met a girl he likes.

Mason Sharp-14

Mason is the son of an NHL legend and a police officer. Clearly, he grew up privileged- and a prankster. Now, he's moving back to Chicago to start high school, and along with his best friend Eli, he's ready to become the most popular kid. But when Eli gets a girlfriend, everything starts to change, and Mason will do anything to stop it.

Leia Kiley-14

When Leia was born, she was given up for adoption, and she wasn't adopted for another two years. She loves her adopted parents, but it's hard. Her mom is a beautiful, strong, athletic women, while Leia's just an uncoordinated, far-sighted, socially awkward geek, who's only talent is playing Cello. Not to mention school- it's hard to constantly be around and be compared to much prettier girls. She has every reason to be insecure. But when she meets a guy who likes her back, things are starting to go great, except there's a group of people ready to bring her down again.

Quentin Michaelchuk-20

Quentin Michaelchuk is only the 3rd black hockey player in the NHL today, but don't judge him by that, he's still one of the best rookie's in the NHL, alongside his Chicago Blackhawks teammate and best friend Lucas Kane. Unlike Lucas, Quentin's single and ready to hook-up, using Lucas as his wing-man at parties and bars. It's all fun and games for Quentin, but once the media chooses to step in, everything's all downhill.
